Code For Money

Written, Directed, Produced, Shot, Starring, and Edited by Casey Jones comes an hour-and-a-half long passion project. After a power-hungry student, Isaac (Harry Lazarus), creates an algorithm to make the digital currency obsolete, Trey (Ezekiel Mustapha) forms a team bringing together three separate strangers - a thief (Casey Jones), a hacker (Charlie Gardner), and a wild card (Violet Whitehorn). To work as a group, they need to set aside their differences and prevent the imminent economic collapse of society.

Between February and April 2025, I worked with the talented cast and crew at Flickerwick Studios on this project, taking on the role of Isaac, the film’s central antagonist, across multiple demanding shoots. Each one brought its own challenges - from a high-energy chase sequence to tightly choreographed fight scenes - making this one of the most physically intense projects I’ve worked on. To embody Isaac’s downfall and unravelling, I maintained a rougher appearance off-camera, heightening the effect of the character’s spiral as shooting days approached. The commitment this role demanded has made it one of the most interesting and rewarding experiences of my acting journey so far.
