About Me
I’ve never been interested in standing at the edge of a story - I want to dive right in, get my hands dirty, and push myself to the limits with every project. Filmmaking, for me, is about stepping into new worlds, each one entirely different from the last. Every film I write is a unique opportunity to explore a fresh narrative universe - whether it’s the early twentieth-century supernatural tension of BURDEN, the gritty, lower echelons of the city and Catholic guilt in What About The Devil, or the feelings of summertime nostalgia and young love in American Wedding. Each project takes me to a new place with its own rules, struggles, and characters to explore. I make it my priority to weave in my own experiences alongside a broad range of cinematic influences and homages - each of which helped ignite my love for the craft long before I began creating my own films.
I’ve spent years not just watching but actively doing - absorbing everything I can and learning the craft from the ground up. For me, directing is a form of advanced problem-solving, figuring out how to bring a vision to life, overcoming obstacles, and pushing through challenges with every project. I don’t claim to have perfected all the skills yet, but I’m determined to keep learning from others, observing, and earning my place in the process. I have an unwavering drive to create, learn, and push forward. I believe in showing up first, leaving last, and making myself indispensable in any environment. It's not about waiting for opportunities to come; it's about making the most of every chance and building something lasting with each project I take on.
Creativity, to me, is the closest thing we have to magic. Whether it’s in film, writing, music, or any other medium, I deeply admire those who create something from nothing - and that’s exactly what I aim to do. I’ve worked, I’ve struggled, and I’ve grown. I’ve spent years learning everything I can, and now I’m ready to sink my teeth into the work, roll up my sleeves, and get my hands dirty. With each new world I step into, I’m prepared to put in the work, bring my experience to the table, and contribute wholeheartedly to the collaborative process of storytelling.
